New Era of the Peterbilt 579

Last week, Peterbilt unveiled the newest member of their on-highway family, the new model 579.

The New 579 has some great new features that Peterbilt has spent over the last 5 years engineering. These new features are going to improve fuel economy, driver retention and new dash display. Peterbilt has designed a more aerodynamic hood that will improve your fleet fuels economy by 7%. The new A-pillar fairing redirects airflow around the windshield for improved aerodynamics and noise reduction for your driver. This new hood is narrower with a lower crown height for better visibility for your drivers. This hood is very light weight and impact-resistant Mettom material that is extremely durable. This will come with the industry first three-function LED Lights located in the bumper. It will have LED Fog, Driving and directional lights. The new chassis fairings are going to tip out for easy access to chassis components and full removal without the need for any tools to improve uptime for your fleet.

The new dash display will be a 15″ all digital display with customizable gauges. This new display will have a safety feature that will warn drivers if they are following too closely and will help the driver stop on an instance. It will also give a pre-warning notification about the truck. This new display will give driver trip information on fuel economy, how far the driver has driven, idle time, etc.

These new features are available today for you to order. Come on out to one of our many JX locations and a Sales Executive will be able to help you.
