Earlier this month, JX was named to the Deloitte Wisconsin 75 for the 11th time since 2003. At Pier Wisconsin, the morning of October 4, Deloitte honored 75 companies from around Wisconsin for their achievements and the collective impact the companies have made on the economy and communities of Wisconsin.
“Every year it is more rewarding than the last to be named among the 74 other companies included on the Wisconsin 75,” says Eric Jorgensen, President & CEO of JX. “It is a testament to our success and our ability to adapt and change with the times.”
According to Deloitte, the Wisconsin 75 saw a 140 percent increase in combined revenues between 2010-2016, growing to $122B in 2016. This year’s Wisconsin 75 employs more than 70,000 people in Wisconsin alone. Even more, nearly 100 percent of the companies included in the Wisconsin 75 give back to their communities by donating time and money to important community initiatives.
Mark Muskevitsch, CFO of JX, and Rich Yezzi, Vice President of Human Resources at JX, accepted the award on behalf of JX.
“It is a nice reflection of what our employees have been able to accomplish this year,” says Yezzi. “We have grown in more ways than one, and this is a great recognition of that.”
The Deloitte Wisconsin 75 recognizes the state’s largest privately held companies headquartered in Wisconsin for the impact they make on Wisconsin’s communities and economy. This year, JX was listed as no. 37 on the list.
To be considered for the Deloitte Wisconsin 75, a business must:
- Be headquartered in Wisconsin.
- Have a majority ownership by an individual, family, or employee stock ownership plan.
- Have a minimum of $50 million in annual sales revenue.
- Designate a primary industry on the nomination form.
“The award shows current and potential employees that we have staying power,” says Muskevitsch. “It also shows our customers that we are reliable and operate with consistency.”
