Expansion continues at JX with a grand opening celebration at the company’s newest Parts & Service location in Lafayette, Indiana. The Wednesday events at JX Truck Center – Lafayette will kick off with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m hosted by the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce. Following the celebration, lunch will be served out of the JX Chuck Wagon, the company’s custom-wrapped food truck. The event will take place at 2701 Schuyler Avenue, Lafayette, IN 47905. Customers, local businesses, and community members are all invited to attend.

With the opening of JX Truck Center – Lafayette, JX now owns 17 locations across the Midwest, 3 of those in Indiana. The company boasts one of the largest inventories of genuine parts from Peterbilt, Volvo, Kalmar/Ottawa, and over 200 other OEM vendors. As with all JX locations, their service department is committed to getting customers back on the road ASAP.

“We wanted to make sure we had a shop and a parts department closer to our customers to help them maintain greater up time,” says Dan Ryan, JX Truck Center  – Indianapolis and Lafayette General Manager. Lafayette is an ideal location for JX also because of its strong industrial base. Companies like Wabash, Alcoa, and Caterpillar have large manufacturing plants in Lafayette.

“With this strong industrial base, the store is situated for good growth,” says Ryan. Another big player in the town is Subaru of Indiana Automotive. Lafayette houses their only North American production plant, which has plans to undergo a 50 percent expansion.

“Not only will this store bring us closer to our current customers, but with the location just 2 minutes off a heavily traveled corridor, we are able to offer emergency services to truckers traveling through the area,” says Ryan. The store opened for parts sales on June 1, 2015. A large Peterbilt oval was mounted to the front of the store days before the opening.
