JX Peterbilt was honored with this year’s Platinum Oval Parts and Service Award at the 2016 annual PACCAR Parts and Peterbilt Motors Company Parts and Service Meeting. The recent conference, held in Orlando, Florida, was attended by dealer parts and service managers, as well as dealer executives.
JX was one of two Peterbilt dealerships awarded with the Peterbilt Platinum Oval out of more than 300 dealers across North America. All the JX representatives in attendance went up on stage to accept the award the night of the ceremony.
“It’s a group effort,” says Eric Jorgensen, JX President & CEO. “I wanted all 30 plus members of our parts and service team up on stage, because each one of them plays a major role in our success.”
Performance criteria for the award included parts purchase growth, retail sales growth, absorption, PACCAR MX Engine technician staffing, and service profit contribution.
“PACCAR Parts is proud to recognize dealers that have demonstrated excellence in parts operations and customer service,” said David Danforth, PACCAR vice president and PACCAR Parts general manager. “They embody our dealer network and continuously exceed customer’s needs.”
Greg Torosian, JX Service Director, attributes the honor to JX’s recent focus on technician training, staying lean, and their emphasis on recruiting and retaining top talent. Over the past year, JX has devoted significant resources to Associate training across all departments, especially service.
“We have good teams in place, across all our locations. It’s a testament to how well we operate,” says Torosian, “but we also have so much more room to improve and grow in the future.”
