MARCH 7, 2018 WAS A BIG DAY FOR HINO AND JX TRUCK CENTER.

Hino revealed their newest class of commercial trucks, the XL Series, at the Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, Indiana.

According to Glenn Ellis, VP of Owner Experience at Hino, the project had been in the works for quite some time. In an interview with Executive Editor David Cullen, Ellis said that Hino had been trying to branch out into the heavy duty market for the past decade. In 2015, this vision began to turn into a reality with the conceptual engineering project for the XL Series. Three years later, Ellis is proud to reveal this project and share with the public eye.

Hino’s goal is to gain market share, especially in the United States, by offering a wider variety of products to their dealer network and customers alike.

So, what’s the big deal? Take a look:

The Hino XL Series work on an A09 Turbo Diesel engine and are available in straight truck and tractor configurations. Some of the specifications include:

The XL Series isn’t just about the amazing specs. These trucks were designed to deliver exceptional comfort and peace of mind to drivers.

Hino XL7 and XL8 feature sleek, upgraded interiors and air-ride seats to enjoy the view. As far as technology, the XL Series is equipped with hands-free Bluetooth and steering wheel controls, as well as a large LCD screen that operates as the information center.

As always, our partners at Hino take safety very seriously. Safety features include:

  • Collision Mitigation System
    • Radar-based system that actively brakes in event of preventable collision.
  • Lane Departure Warning
    • Camera-based system that detects when vehicle deviates from lane.
  • Electronic Stability Control
    • Automatically intervenes when high risk of instability is detected.

We’re proud to be an authorized dealer for Hino, and excited for their expansion into the heavy duty trucking market!
